Not Everything is as it Seems
It’s bad enough that we can’t trust the news, news headlines, and many publications that share information with us. The fake news, false headlines, and outright lies being told to us are confusing and lead to false and misleading assumptions and beliefs. Believing the lies and false information may cause us to make mistakes, but they do not affect our salvation. However, believing things that are not biblically true can, and does, affect salvation. And that is something God tells us not to tolerate.
To begin with, we are told to test everything; “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing, and perfect will,” (Romans 12:2), and; “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them” (Ephesians 5:11). Ignoring these (and others concerning salvation) commands will affect whether or not you are truly saved. False Pastors and Christian book writers will misquote and twist scriptures, and tell enough truth from scripture to get us to believe what they want us to, and after a while, people are hooked on their false teachings. Satan and other evil false Christians are sly and get us to change by telling us small increments of lies. Hopefully, those who are deceived will wake up and realize something is wrong with what they are being led to believe, and what they are taught is not the truth. NOT EVERYTHING IS…AS IT SEEMS!
Being tricked, lied to, seduced, and being manipulated to believe things that are not true is very dangerous to Christians. Not understanding the full knowledge of the scripture of salvation and how a Christian should live could lead a person to a false belief system and a lack of salvation. NOT EVERYTHING IS…AS IT SEEMS!
Some people have scales over their eyes and can’t see and understand His truth because they cannot bear it. They want to believe what they want to believe. For generations, Satan has been trying to get Christ followers to turn away from God, His truth, and follow his lies. This generation is no different; I believe Satan’s use of creeping increments to help win over converts to his side is working profusely. Many of us have said in the past, “Who would have thought 30 years ago this would happen?” The “this’ has and is happening. NOT EVERYTHING IS…AS IT SEEMS!
What is the “this” that is so serious? I will present to you small bits of information that are true; however, don’t take my word for it. Research, study, and discover yourself.
WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT
· Many countries around the world are quietly working to form a one-world government and banking system.
· Some faiths desire to form a Universal church (backers include many American pastors, the Catholic church.
· Many of the strong, vocal, and popular pastors, worship leaders, youth ministers, and missionaries have walked away from the Lord and denounced Him.
· Ministry leaders are being involved in all types of sexual sin with children and the opposite sex.
· That truth would become subjective.
· Trans boys would be allowed in the girls’ lavatories and locker rooms at school.
· Trans men (and boys) are allowed to compete in women’s (girls) sports.
· People would be elected to governmental offices that are self-identified as democratic socialists and communists.
· Easy believism, name it and claim it, prosperity gospel, and all sorts of false churches would spring up and become very popular.
· Only 68% identify with a Christian religion (down from 87% in 1973), and only 32% of U.S. adults go to church regularly. The Pew Research Center of 2023.
· The Roman Catholic Church’s Pope would drift away from their scripture, such as a blessing prayer for a block of ice, on LGBTQ issues, stated “who am I to judge,” and provided a prayer room for Muslims at the Vatican.
· And 30% of Protestants say that the Bible is literally true, compared with 15% of Catholics. Almost two-thirds of Catholics choose the alternative that the Bible is the inspired word of God, but not every word should be taken literally. The Gallup poll 2023.
Why is this information important? Because Christians are to believe and carry out the commands of God if we are to have the gift of salvation He offers, including 1 Thessalonians 5:21 “test all things; hold fast to what is true,” 1 Corinthians, 2 Timothy 4:3-4 “For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear, 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” 1 Corinthians 13:5 “Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? —unless indeed you fail to meet the test”, finally Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.” I believe these scriptures are among the most serious teachings and should not be taken lightly; however, many ignore them!
Thirty years ago, it seemed unbelievable that things that are happening in our culture now would have been possible, but NOT EVERYTHING was …AS IT SEEMED!
