Diluted Doctrine in megachurches: You don’t get to hear sound, in-depth, true word of God and get “Bored”. Instead, you hear blessing and prosperity, which is music to your carnal ears.
Accountability- In small congregations, you shout at your wife; you get a bashing from your pastor. In megachurches, who cares whom you slept with?
Charismatic pastors and their activities at church
Charismatic beliefs and experiences are becoming more popular every day. Some of the experiences these people relate to are:
The Holy Spirit comes upon a person and takes control of them and has them to: Laugh uncontrollably (Holy laughter).
People are infused with a physical sensation like an electrical current flowing through their body.
People shake, tremble and convulse uncontrollably.
They may make sounds like dogs, lions and a variety of other animals and use voices that are not normal sounding.
Then there are pastors that act in a manner in their service that is not Biblical but are welcomed by their members:
God told Pastor Kenneth Hagin to punch a woman in the stomach to rid her of her cancer.
Pastor Rodney Browne slapped a deaf woman so hard she fell to the ground to try and get her to hear.
Todd Bentley said God told him to heal a lady’s cripple leg by grabbing it and banging it on the platform like a baseball bat. The Holy Spirit also told him that healing was not taking place because he (Bentley) had not kicked a woman in the face with his biker boot, so he did. And Pastor Paul Crouch states that the more money you donate (to TBN) the more money you will reap in return and by the thousands.
And if you go to Pastor Bill Johnson’s school (for a fee) they will teach you how to heal people and become a prophet.
Also very popular is the signs, wonders and miracles that happen within the Charismatic community. They actively seek these activities because they feel they have a closer relationship with the Holy Spirit and therefore are rewarded with His prescience.
Even with all these outlandish and un-Biblical activities and teachings going on in the Charismatic arena, the Charismatic movement is one of the fastest growing faiths in the world.

Benny Hinn stated on TBN that after his crusade in South America in 2002, that he was certain that he would return to America with video footage of Jesus appearing on stage during the crusades because Jesus had told him this was going to happen. Hinn also stated that very soon people would no longer need to take their deceased loved ones to the morgue. Instead, stated Hinn, they should be placed in front of the television during the airing of TBN and they would rise from the dead.
