The Idea of a one world church (or religion) in the back of someone’s mind has probably been around for centuries. As far as the Christian Scripture is concerned it was addressed basically by prophecy through John the Apostle in the book of Revelation. As I state later on in this article Scripture does not specifically say, and use the words “one world church,” but there is a lot of evidence that is what Scripture is talking about in the book of Revelation.
Listed below is information that I have gathered from various sources that lead me to believe the race for a one world church is active today. Many religions/faiths have made concessions and changes in their church doctrine and what they believe Scripture states that show they want to become more inclusive over the past few decades. To me, that is more proof that the idea unifying of all religions is well underway.
What is the World Council of Churches (WCC)?”
Answer: The World Council of Churches is an international, interdenominational fellowship of Christian churches. Denominations within the WCC include mainline Protestant, Anglican, and Eastern Orthodox churches. The WCC is intentionally ecumenical and inclusive.

My comments; More and more evangelical, charismatic, main line protestant pastors, Jewish and Muslim leaders and even the Catholic Pope and Bishops are working to form unions with each other. One of their reasons for doing this is because they say “we all serve and pray to the same God.”
I believe that there will be a one world church or end times church is not an assumption, it will be a fact. Scripture states and describes the one-world religion in Revelation chapter 17. Personally, I think if one religion has the will and power to hold that position it will be that of Islam. They are fierce, determined, and willing to go to any lengths to convert or destroy civilization. I think Catholics would like to have that position but they don’t stand a chance against Muslims.
Even though the concept of a one world church is a reality, we are called to resist and fight it as much as we can. Acts 5:29 Peter and the other apostils replied; “we must obey God rather than human beings.”
Yes, we are to love, even our enemies, but we are not to partner or serve with them within our faith and we are to expose their false teachings (Eph. 5:11).
I’m sure there are many churches in your area that adhere to the idea that as believes we can all (all faiths) work together, that we may believe we all serve the same God, and the we should all come together as one body. Personally, I do not read that Scripture tells us to do that. Listed below are a few scriptures that tell me not to believe in, associate or become partners with these churches and their ideas (in religious matters). 2 Cor. 6:14, Matthew 7:13-15, Colossians 2:8, 1 Timothy 2:5, and Matthew 7:21-23. But we are called to love all people (including people of different faiths, not their religion) as stated in Luke 10:27, have friendships with people of non Christian faiths and atheists, pray for them, and help them. However, we are to keep our faith pure and not add to or delete from (Deuteronomy 4:2, Revelation 22:18) the teachings of scripture so as to make allowances to obtain universal unity in a combined faith community (one world church).
I believe the stage is set for a one world church and many “Christians” are holding the doors open and many will enter with ease.

Yes, we know who wins in the end, God has revealed to us the outcome and how and what will take place, and the pain and suffering some will endure. He has also told us to be ready for that day, to prepare and to help others to prepare, and to give His message to as many as possible. People will have the opportunity for salvation even up to the Tribulation so in my mind everything matters, even to the end.
